Product Description:
Introducing the Ocean Signal rescueME EPIRB1 – your reliable companion for maritime safety.
Engineered to swiftly alert search and rescue teams in the event of an emergency at sea, this compact Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon (EPIRB) is your lifeline on the water. Whether you’re a sailor, fisherman, or adventurer, the rescueME EPIRB1 ensures that your distress signal is broadcast with precision, facilitating a rapid response to your location. With its cutting-edge technology and user-friendly design, this essential device offers unparalleled peace of mind, empowering you to navigate the seas with confidence.
The rescueME EPIRB1 is supplied with an integrated 66-channel GPS as standard, providing accurate positional information to the emergency services to assist in rapid rescue. When activated, the EPIRB1 transmits your position and unique ID to a Rescue Coordination Centre via satellite link. This information is then forwarded to the relevant local Search and Rescue services, letting them know your exact location, thanks to the 66-channel GPS.

Working Principle
EPIRBs emit a digital 406 MHz distress signal, containing a unique 15-digit identifier, to the Cospas-Sarsat Satellite System. Depending on your vessel’s registration, this may be a serial number or its Maritime Mobile Service Identity (MMSI) number.
For EPIRBs with a serial number, Search and Rescue forces retrieve your beacon registration (also free but mandatory for all EPIRB owners). This provides ownership details and additional emergency contacts. EPIRBs with an MMSI number require the EPIRB 15 Hex ID to be added to the relevant maritime database.
EPIRBs relay your location to Search and Rescue forces either through GPS data or triangulation calculations from satellites. This information is relayed to the nearest Rescue Coordination Center, initiating your rescue mission.
